Your Seat is the digital companion for A Seat at the Christmas Table, a community Christmas event presented by Dreamscape Community Connections C.I.C. It is built for everyone attending the day — families, neighbours, carers, support workers and visitors of all ages and abilities — so that the whole experience sits neatly in their pocket rather than on a printed flyer.
The companion helps visitors find their way around the venue, see what is happening now and next, browse the people, businesses, performers and community groups taking part, plan their own day, discover quiet and sensory spaces, take part in the Christmas Passport, and leave gentle, anonymous feedback. Everything is kept calm, clear and easy to read.
Accessibility is at the heart of the design. Visitors can adjust text size, contrast and motion, switch to a calm, low-clutter view, or use an easy-read layout, and the app works well with screen readers. No account is needed to use the companion, and visitor feedback never asks for names or identifying details.
A Seat at the Christmas Table is created and run by Dreamscape Community Connections C.I.C., a community interest company working to bring people together and reduce isolation at Christmas. Your Seat was built to make sure every visitor feels they have a seat at the table.
